Should exam the National be abolished ?


      The national examination or was called by the UN (national exam) and UNAS (national final school exams) is a standard system of primary and secondary education were conducted nationally appropriate education minister's decision and based on Law No. 20 of 2003. The determination of standardized tests national in Indonesia continues to be improved from year to year with the aim to improve and promote the quality of education in Indonesia.       Someone will be passed from a national exam if the students are already able to exceed the limit value. Limit values serves as a determinant of whether or not graduate students, but it also has a function to separate students who graduated and students who do not pass. At the time of elementary school (SD) there are 3 subjects in the test national namely Indonesian, mathematics and natural sciences. As for the junior secondary schools (SMP) there are 4 subjects in the test national namely Mathematics, Indonesian, Natural Sciences and English. The higher the level of the school, the more subjects at the 2015 graduation test results national (except for universities). For high school (SMA) and vocational schools (SMK) or the equivalent there are 6 subjects in the test nasionalkan Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Indonesian language, English and vocational.
      The purpose of the national exam nice to hold namely to advance the quality of education in Indonesia. In the junior and senior secondary education level there are a lot of subjects studied. While the UN is only three or four subjects in accordance with UN POS that will be tested as well as a graduation requirement.
      Then why do this during the student should pass the cost, energy and time to learn the other subjects? This means that the UN is not effective as the standard graduation. There are things that must be addressed by the government before implementing the UN among others equating educational facilities in the city and in the country and the need for quality distribution of teachers throughout the school. The next graduation assessment standards should include aspects on gogis (cognitive, psychomotor and affective) thoroughly.
      The first , UN instead of forming the character of hard work, but instead formed a liar and cunning character because the UN are "forced" to be passed then there cheat. cheating in education will continue to root for the community (student / teacher / parent) have the perception that academic value is a benchmark of achievement, pride, as well as the only indicator and a 'bridge' in careers, employment prospects, and financial success in the future .in the perception was still lingering in the community: parents will tend to demand that his children scored consistently high academic. Teachers will focus on achievement, the average value of the UN, race / Olympics and things that could be a school social status symbol rather than oriented to how to develop the potential and student learning experience fun and enjoyable.
     When students see that the academic value is crucial to be offered for parents, as well as if it becomes absolutely necessary to be able to 'survive' in the future. Then measure the success of the learner is only focused on value and not on understanding the discipline of science. In such a perspective, do not be surprised if Indonesia is rich 'achievement' and often won the Science Olympiad competition / quiz. But the number of wins the Olympics was not balanced by the number of sons and daughters of Indonesia that really work in the world of science. In the same perspective as well, do not be surprised if the culture of cheating to get academic values continue entrenched in every generation of students.
